Older villagers can be picked up by car to be taken to the Hall or to the field on Gala Day.
Gala Day 12th June 2010
Gala Day proceeding have been brought forward 1 hour as a wedding is taking place in the village later on in the day. We would like to wish Kelly and Chris every happiness in their future lives together.

To celebrate our rich heritage let us embrace our culture and ask those who take part in the Fancy Dress to adopt the theme of SCOTTISH HERITAGE in its widest sense.

Gala Week and the Big Day
The crowning of the Gala Queen will take place in the Village Hall at 11am which will also be the venue for presentation of the Fancy Dress prizes. There will then be the Queen's procession  up to the sun-drenched playing field, where there weill be a number of attractions and a sit doon. These include children's races, tea tent, baking, tombolla and a 1950's Canberra jet bomber cockpit, plus much much more......

Kick off at 7pm. Leadhills, Park, Bowling Green.
 
Monday
Games Night 6.00 - 8.00 Village Hall
 
Wednesday
Kids Disco 6.00 - 8.00 Village Hall
 
Friday
Volunteers wanted to set up the field and marquee from 7pm 
 
 
Thank You
The events which have taken place this year to raise funds for Gala Day included a Ceilidh, Duck Race and New Style Pub Quizzes.
Thank you to everyone who has also helped with organising supplying and advising this year's Gala.
The Gala Committee hope you have a wonderful Gala Day and welcome any feedback you may have on the event.
